About Rick Baldassin  
Rick Baldassin achieved prominence early in his career as Chief Concert Piano Technician for the Utah Symphony Orchestra, Piano Technician for the University of Utah, and Tuning Editor for the Piano Technicians Journal. In 1991, he was awarded the prestigious "Member of Note" award for outstanding service to the piano industry by the Piano Technician's Guild.  
 

Rick is considered one of the foremost authorities on piano action geometry, and hammer construction and voicing. He has developed one of the finest piano restoration facilities in the United States, in addition to building a very successful retail piano business featuring the world's finest pianos. In his capacity as Senior Technical Consultant to Renner USA, he has conducted technical seminars all over the United States, Canada, Australia, and Europe. Most recently, he was named Director of Technical Services for the world renowned Fazioli piano.
