In 1893, a handcrafted piano created by Ernst Hiis-Ishe was the beginning of what is now the Estonia Piano Company. Following time honored tradition, today’s handcrafted Estonia pianos are produced using only the finest materials, like birchwood from Northern Europe, spruce soundboards from Germany, and Finnish-made sand-cast iron plates.

When Rick Baldassin was introduced to these pianos by Dr. Indrek Laul, a pianist, Juilliard graduate, and owner of the Estonia Piano company, he was impressed with the quality of this relatively unknown brand. In the years since, the brand has gained prominence (and a fan base which includes Jay Leno) in the marketplace. Estonia pianos represent an excellent value, especially when compared with brand-name Asian pianos which are mass-produced using inferior materials.
