I am in the market for a new grand piano, and at the suggestion of a friend, who is also a highly respected member of the Piano Technicians Guild, I decided to take the afternoon off from work and pay a visit to Baldassin Pianos in Draper. They did not disappoint.
My experience at Baldassin was so vastly different from any showroom edginess and anxiety other dealers have induced. The entire experience from the moment I entered until the time I was practically skipping out of the showroom like a child back to my car, left me at once both excited and refreshed by the “no pressure,” friendly, and helpful environment they have no doubt intentionally created for their customers.
It is clear they are passionate about what they do, and the customer service they provide is top-shelf. Needless to say, Baldassin Pianos now has a new customer for life in me.

It was almost as if the piano came alive under the fingers of our daughter, and you could see its character like a living being. She played Bostons and Steinways in Salt Lake, but she just lit up playing this 6’1″ Wilhelm Schimmel. It was as if we were watching her fall in love. I’d recommend you at least try them and hear what you think.
